Design

Xperia TX features a beautiful rectangular design. The back of the phone is inspired by its predecessor; the Xperia Arc hence has a beautiful curve that makes the device easier to hold. All this goodness comes in a thickness of only 8.6 mm. The front of the device is a shatter proof and scratch resistant glass, and the back of the phone is made up of Matte plastic. The plastic neither feels cheap in hand nor attracts finger prints, hence a great choice of materials used by Sony.

Xperia TX packs an amazing 4.55 inches high definition display. It is a TFT capacitive touchscreen, has a resolution of 720*1280 pixels, a pixel density of 323 pixels per inch and is a multi-touch display which can take inputs from up to 10 fingers at a time. Last but not the least, the display is backed by Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine which takes the display to its maximum potential and delivers exceptional performance.

Beauty with brains

Considering the price tag the device comes with, Sony did a good job in choosing the hardware the device will run on. Xperia TX packs a Snapdragon Dual core krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and an Adreno 225 GPU. Both of them make a good couple and neither are power hungry nor do they provide you with slow, boring and useless performance. To further back up performance levels, the device comes with 1GB Ram. This makes quite an adequate bundle leading to a smooth and satisfying user experience.

Camera

Xperia TX comes with a 13MP image sensor that is capable of recording 1080p full HD videos at 30 frames per second. The camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, 3D sweep panorama, image and video stabilization. The secondary (Front facing) camera is a 1.3 MP camera that is capable of recording 720p HD videos at 30 Frames per second.

The 13MP shooter comes with its own perks, one being image and video stabilization. You neither need steady hands nor need a stationary subject to take good images, thanks to Image and video stabilization.

Low lighting conditions? Not a problem

Thanks to the Exmor R sensor, lighting conditions are not a problem. To further boost quality, the camera is towed with a LED flash so that image quality is never compromised.
