LG Announced G5 with Modular Design

Posted By Danish On 22nd Feb 2016 @ 1:58 AM

LG G5 is finally here, LG earlier announced the LG G5 at the MWC in Barcelona. LG G5 is undoubtedly one of the best flagships by Korean tech giant. LG has finally ditched plastic and decided to go with metal and glass. That's not the only highlight, the most innovative feature that LG added to G5 is the modular body which allows swapping of battery packs and other accessories. So without wasting any more time, let's get down to the details of LG G5:

LG has proved yet again that they are not afraid of taking bold decisions and is always ready to innovate. The LG G5 has round edges, curved glass and there is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. The new LG G5 has a new modular design that everyone is talking about.

A unibody design where batteries are suppose to be non-removable, LG has completely negated the idea and came up with swappable battery packs.

LG G5 boasts a 5.3 inch QHD display, which is smaller than LG G4's 5.5 inch display. However, LG did add an "Always On" feature that will keep the display always on showing all the essential details like time and major notifications.

LG G5 is powered by Qualcomm's latest chipset, Snadragon 820, Adreno 530 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The new 820 chipset by Snapdragon is the most advanced CPU offering nothing but the best. Similarly the Adreno GPU offers 40 percent faster graphics performance when compared with its predecessor.

OS and UI:

LG G5 will run on Android 6.1 Marshmallow out of the box and will continue to rock the LG's very own UI.

The LG G5 features two cameras on the back, one is 16 MP and the other one is 8 MP. The 16 MP has a 78 degree standard lens while the 8 MP one has a 135 degree wide angle lens which means now you can capture more wider landscapes. Not to forget LG G5 is also equipped with an 8 MP front facing camera for selfies and video calling.

Other Features:

LG G5 has a fingerprint sensor, USB Type C support, swappable 2800 mAh battery, quick charging, faster LTE and much more.

Price and Availability:

LG didn't mention the price tag at the announcement, however we are expecting it to be somewhere around 650 - 700 USD price bracket and will be available sometime next month.
