The 2015 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cutaway has a flat Mahogany body with a Mahogany slim taper profile neck with a bound Rosewood fingerboard that has pearl dot inlays.
The hardware is a nickel lightening bar wrap around tailpiece with P-90ST and P-90SR Dog Ear pickups with alnico slugs. The finish is a gloss lacquer in 3 color options: Heritage Cherry, Gloss Yellow and Vintage Sunburst.
To continue the classic look the Les Paul Special Double Cutaway has Black Top Hat knobs for the Master Volume and Tone pots with dial pointers and a Gibson hard-shell Case.

Double–Cut Styling and Improved Neck Joint

The Les Paul Special has been a classic since it first hit the scene nearly 60 years ago. This Les Paul Special features two P–90s for legendary tone with added neck joint stability.


Body and neck A solid mahogany body in the double-cutaway design with a new neck joint is joined to a glued-in mahogany neck with unbound, one-piece rosewood fingerboard. The Les Paul Special is available in your choice of Heritage Cherry, Translucent Yellow, or Vintage Sunburst finish.	Pickup and electronics The new P-90SR and P-90ST yield classic fat single-coil grit with added clarity from Alnico slug poles, with master volume and tone controls and a three-way selector switch.	Hardware G FORCE makes tuning a push of a button, while a satin “lightning bar” wraparound tailpiece ensures solidity and sustain with impressive intonation.	Protective case Each guitar includes a new Gibson hardshell case with fabric lined interior.
