The Sensation XL is another Smartphone in line of the HTC Sensation Series. The Phones star spec is Beats Audio along with a large 4.7 inches LCD Screen. There is no memory card slot but you will find 16 GB Internal Memory. The 1.5 GHz Processor does ensure a smooth experience. The Screen resolution is also low but is acceptable. The Phone is quiet slim and comfortable to hold. The Phone ships with Android Gingerbread but is upgradable to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Sense 3.5 has many new changes that are sure to improve your experience with your smartphone. The Low-resolution Screen and lack of microSD slot is a pain though but the phone has many other attractive features that you will love when you use the device. Along with Beats Audio the HTC Sensation XL is a great midrange device.
The Sensation XL has a 4.7 inches large LCD. The Phone is impressively thin and easy to hold. The edges are cornered to give a comfortable grip over the device. On the front you will find a front facing camera that is good for Video chats along with four Android Buttons. On the right you will find the Volume Keys and the micro-usb port is to the left. The Power button which is also the Unlock/Lock Button is on the top of the Phone. Along with the 3.5 mm headphones jack. On the back you will find an 8 MP Camera with dual LED Flash and some Beats Audio Branding at the bottom. The Screen though not HD but qHD has a resolution of 480x800 pixels and a 200 ppi pixel density that seems a little low for a 4.7 inches screen. The Phone has a fast 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 Processor along with 768 MB RAM. The Phone has 8 GB Internal Memory with no microSD card but you will get 5 GB Dropbox. The Camera has much newer interface along with HDR and Panorama Shots. The Camera was found not the best but acceptable. The Camera shoots videos at 720p at a frame rate of 30 but picks a lot of noise like in all Sensation devices. The 1600 mAh battery gives a sufficient Battery time for normal users as well as for Hardcore Users. Beats Audio on the device along with Beats Audio Headphones gives extraordinary Sound Quality that you won’t find anywhere else.
The Phone usually ships with Android Gingerbread and Sense 3.5 but is upgradable to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The Sense 3.5 UI is quite different from 3.0. The UI runs super smooth on the Phone. You can easily customize your home screens to make them look more personal. Sensation XL has a lot of preinstalled apps including Notes, Dropbox, Tango and Evernote as well as many others. The Keyboard is very large and easy to use. Music is redefined on the HTC Sensation XL the Music app has a completely different interface and Beats Audio give the best possible sound experience. The Beats Audio in-ear headset is simply a blast when it comes to sound quality but the volume is average even when at max.
The HTC Sensation XL is an affordable handset that has some outstanding features. The new Sense UI 3.5 improves the way you interact with your Phone. The Dual Core Processor ensures you get a lag-free experience with your Device. Beats Audio ensures that you get some awesome sound quality and with the optional beats Audio Headset you can bring life to that sound. Although it has many drawbacks the Sensation XL is a very impressive Device in the range.
