Overview
The HTC Vivid is a smart phone manufactured by HTC Corporation. HTC Vivid runs on an Android Operating system. The device has an interesting design that’s because HTC usually makes phones which have really excellent build quality and this one is pretty much the opposite, it is very plasticky. It has glossy black plastic all around on the front and on the frames etc. There is a little style at the back. There are the slanted sides that reach the back cover. The device has high-caliber capabilities. It’s got a fast processor with HTC Sense User Interface. The Vivid has all the essential smart phone features and not only that; it also has many new features like the 4G LTE.
Hardware
HTC Vivid features a 4.5 inch Super LCD capacitive touch screen with qHD resolution. The device has a bright display and with the 4.5 inch touch screen, internet browsing is a blast. The device has a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor which is pretty fast. The Device offers 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. With the 1650 mAh battery the device can last a day with heavy usage. On the top of the screen you have an ear peace along with a notification LED, which lights up when you get a text message, email and etc. There is also a 1.3 MP VGA front facing camera. Below the screen you have the capacitive buttons. Up top there is the 3.4mm headphone jack and next to it is the silvery power button. On the right hand side of the device you have the volume rocker which has the same silver accent as of the power button. On the left side there is the Micro-USB port. On the back you have an 8MP camera with a Dual LED flash. The back camera is capable of shooting videos at 1080p.
Software
The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 which is an excellent
User Interface which adds extra features and functionalities. It also adds a lot of good graphics. Sense is one of the most extensive skins for Android devices right now. Sense not only changes the look of the operating system but also tweaks some of the core functionality. Sense aims on making Android usage a smother experience. The camera app is really good. Taking pictures indoors or outdoors, the camera quality of both the cameras will not disappoint you. Videos look pretty smooth as well.
Conclusion
HTC Vivid has a different kind of a design; it is quite different from many of the other HTC smart phones. The device has a large display. Watching movies and Youtube clips is a great experience. You wont face any lags with its fast processor while playing games or while web browsing. The device is plasticky but it has high-caliber capabilities. The camera features will not let you down either while capturing photos or while shooting videos.
