Product Description

1 Year Sony Official Warranty

Make effective presentations with this ultra short throw interactive classroom projector that’s energy-efficient and wireless ready.

The VPL-SW526C Ultra Short Throw Projector makes a great presentation partner for today’s classrooms.

Ideal for small to mid-sized rooms, the wall-mounting projector throws crisp, easy to see images onto a screen, wall or whiteboard. And since the projector is positioned extremely close to the screen, there’s less glare to distract the teacher or their audience.

Thanks to 3LCD BrightEra™ panel technology by Sony, students can enjoy clear, high contrast WXGA images with excellent colour stability.

Learning’s made even smarter, more satisfying and collaborative with dual pen interactivity, allowing teacher and pupil to write on screen simultaneously. Use the interactive pen to control PC mouse functions, sketch and draw with handwriting recognition. Create tables and charts, use rich 2D/3D graphical tools, formulae and maths functions. Edit objects and grab what’s on screen for later study and review.

Easy to install with plenty of interfaces for connection with other devices, the VPL-SW526C integrates seamlessly with school or office networks. Adding an optional Wi-Fi module lets students and teachers wirelessly share homework, images and graphics from devices like PCs, smartphones and tablets.

There’s a wide range of smart energy-saving features built in. And with extended recommended lamp replacement time up to 6,000 hours, downtime and maintenance costs are minimised.

  • Clear, bright images with maximum 2500 lumens colour light output

Enjoy clear, bright images in any classroom or meeting room. Choose from three brightness modes to suit any environment, from bright daylight to darkened rooms.

WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution gives lots of crisp, fine detail: perfect for making presentations direct from a laptop or PC.

  • 3LCD BrightEra™ Technology

The projector’s efficient 3LCD panel system is enhanced by advanced BrightEra™ technology by Sony. You’ll see the difference with impressively bright, high resolution images and increased panel reliability.

  • Six Picture Modes to suit any subject

A choice of six picture modes (Dynamic, Standard, Game, Blackboard, Cinema and Presentation) offers optimised picture quality with any source material. Picture modes can be combined with three brightness modes (High, Standard, Low) to suit virtually any presentation requirement.

  • Enhance learning with dual pen interactivity

Interactive software and dual pens (included) lets teacher and student simultaneously draw and write with handwriting recognition. Create tables and charts, use rich 2D/3D graphical tools, formulae and maths functions. Edit objects and capture what’s on screen for later study and review.

  • Wireless ready for simple classroom sharing

Add the optional IFU-WLM3 USB wireless module and connect the projector with other devices in the classroom, from PCs to smartphones or tablets.

  • Deliver networked presentations from any PC

It’s easy to project presentations from a network-connected PC, either wirelessly (with optional Wi-Fi module) or via a LAN cable. Projector functions and status can also be monitored and managed remotely from any teacher’s PC on the network.

  • View image files straight from USB

Slip in a USB drive to effortlessly display photos, images and graphics with no PC needed.

  • Clear, rich audio from built-in speaker

There’s no need to add an extra audio system: enjoy rich, room-filling sound from the powerful 16W speaker.

  • Get closer with Digital Zoom

Instantly magnify a selected portion of the screen by up to 4x for a really close-up view of images from a connected PC.

  • Up to 6000 hours lamp replacement time for reduced maintenance and down time

Teach for longer without interruption, with reduced maintenance that contributes directly to lower lifetime ownership costs. Filter cleaning cycles are synchronised with lamp replacement, cutting scheduled maintenance visits even further.

  • Save energy at the touch of a button

Just push the ECO MODE button on the projector or remote commander to instantly access a range of energy-saving settings.

  • Auto Dimming

Projector brightness is gradually reduced automatically if there’s no input signal, or after a pre-set time – cutting power consumption and saving energy bills.

  • Auto Brightness

Laser output power adjusts automatically depending on picture content, saving energy when dark scenes are being projected.

  • Power Saving Picture Mute

Touch a button on the projector remote and the picture’s muted instantly, reducing power consumption by 75%. Another touch and the projector’s instantly powered back up to resume your presentation.

  • Quick, easy, automatic input detection

The projector automatically switches to the correct input, simplifying set-up and saving time.

  • Audio switcher facility

The projector can select between two audio sources, routing them via a variable audio output to the room amplification system.

  • Easy to install

Adjustable optical zoom and lens shift simplify speedy, fuss-free installation in any classroom. Generous connections simplify hook-ups with PCs, DVD players, microphones and other AV devices.

  • Security that’s built in
