ATN Ares 2 Gen 4 2x Night Vision Riflescope

The Ares 2 Gen 4 (Filmless Autogated) is a 2 x night vision riflescope from ATN.

The scope is designed to be rugged, accurate and easy to use. Its infrared sensitive optics and high quality image intensifier tube deliver clear, high-resolution images and help with easy target acquisition. The red reticle is consistent, easily discerned on the green background, and helps provide fast target acquisition.

The Ares 2 is well suited for night hunting, professional or recreational uses. Its integral Weaver mount and single AA battery operation make it near-universal. Provided with a removable IR illuminator, it is suitable for operation in total darkness.

This model sports a Gen 4 (FLAG - Filmleass Autogated) Image Intensifier Tube, designed to dramatically reduce halo in light-polluted areas, and protect both the tube and the viewer's eye from sudden bursts of light. This technology represents improvements over Gen III NVDs, notably in better image quality under low-light conditions, higher image resolution under bright light conditions and reduced halo effect. These high quality tubes are equipped with micro-channel plates, filmless gallium arsenide photocathodes and self-contained integral gated power supply.
