The Pavilion 15-p020us 15.6" Touchscreen Notebook Computer from HP is designed for general use, including Internet browsing, document creation, and multimedia playback in home, school, and business environments. The system is powered by a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5-4210U Dual-Core (Haswell) processor, allowing you to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the CPU can be overclocked to 2.7 GHz. The system's 6GB of DDR3L SDRAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs. The CPU's speed is complemented by Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, which delivers two processing threads per physical core. Highly threaded applications can get more work done in parallel, completing tasks sooner.
The 15.6" widescreen WLED-backlit touchscreen display on the 15-p020us features an HD 1366 x 768 native resolution. The touchscreen aspect of this display allows you to navigate the system through the use of simple or multi-touch gestures. The integrated Intel HD 4400 graphics card is designed to deliver a sharp, clear picture and you'll also be able to output video to an external display via the graphics card's HDMI port.
For long term storage of your files, the 750GB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive provides access to your data. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the dual integrated BeatsAudio speakers are optimized to offer high quality sound. Use the dual integrated microphones to record your own audio, or use them alongside the built-in 720p webcam to engage in face-to-face conversations using Skype or other software.
The Pavilion 15-p020us 15.6" Touchscreen Notebook Computer operates on 110-240V at 50/60 Hz and includes an AC adapter.
- HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
- The built-in HP ProtectSmart detects if your laptop has been dropped, and during that split-second journey to the floor, it automatically locks the hard drive into a non-operational state. This safety mechanism helps prevent the loss of your files and media library from damage caused by the fall. The HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection feature provides two levels of safeguards for your valuable personal information:
- Normal Protection: This is engaged anytime you are actively using your system when it's resting on a flat surface. Normal protection remains unaffected by the typical vibrations from airline flights, trains or other forms of transportation and will not lock your drive except in the case of a fall.
- Enhanced Protection: This level of protection features higher sensitivity against movement and falls. Enhanced Protection is able to detect when your system is at a greater risk of being dropped, such as when your laptop is being carried.
