The Spectre sits at the top of HP’s lineup of high-end premium notebooks, which is known for its attractive looks, and flagship hardware inside. The new HP Spectre x360 14 EU0013dx, is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra Chips, which makes the product take the lead in terms of AI-focused operations, while everything is displayed over the 2.8K OLED panel, which is also multitouch-supported and can also be rotated 360 degrees to be used like a tablet.
Design
HP in particular is known for following sleek and minimal aesthetics that extend from its midrange to its premium products, out of which the precision-cut corners to the smooth, brushed metal finish profoundly stand out. The Spectre 14 EU0013dx offers a decent slim profile whose hives also rotate 360 degrees along with the screen mounted on it.
Intel Core Ultra Series Processor
The setup features a 16-core processor, disguised as the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, that sits alongside the 14th-generation CPUs. These cores are made up of 6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 2 low power efficient cores, taking the responsibility of providing single and multicore performance with an efficient power requirement, and AI-focused operations, located alongside 22 threads, making the unit support multithreaded tasks as well, with a level 3 Intel Smart Cache of 24 MB.
The performance ones are clocked at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, which with the assistance of Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology to a max clock frequency of 4.8 GHz. The processor’s base power and maximum power of 28 watts and 115 watts. The CPU supports a memory setup of up to LPDDR5/x for a rate of 7467 MT/s.
It is also integrated with the Intel® Arc™ graphics, with a maximum dynamic Frequency of 2.25 GHz, so that it can handle graphics-oriented operations, like production, editing, 3d modeling or rendering, etc.
Memory and Storage
The multitasking aspect is supported by the onboard soldered LPDDR5x memory with a capacity of 16 GB at a rate of 6400 MHz. Being soldered right on the board makes it easier for the RAM and the CPU to communicate with each other.
The storage drive included is the PCIe Gen 4x4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive that offers an onboard capacity of 1 TB. Out of the box it also stores the operating system on it and being Gen 4 it provides fast read and write speeds.
Display
The 14-inch diagonal panel boasts a resolution of 2.8K at 2880 x 1800 over the OLED panel that ensures inky blacks which provides an incredible content consumption experience. It is also multitouch-enabled so that it can be used as a tablet when being a 2-in-1.
Since it supports variable refresh rate, it varies between 48-120 Hz, with a 0.2 ms response time. Being UWVA, edge-to-edge glass, it comes with micro-edges that provide a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. The panel is anti-reflective and is protected from smudges and scratches by being supported with the Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™, and the Low Blue Light protects your eyesight. In SDR and HDR it achieves a brightness of 400 and 500 nits respectively, while offering a 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 space. It is also IMAX Enhanced certified, which also makes the content consumption experience different than usual.
