The Matthews Multifunctional DC-Slider is used for sliding camera systems in multiple angles. It also works as a mini-jib arm and can transform into a 6' (1.828 m) tower. Equipped with a counterbalance mechanism, the DC-Slider offers a stable shooting platform even when set in extreme angles. A total of 26 lb (12 kg) counterweight allows you to perfectly stabilize a camera system weighing up to 22 lb (10 kg) on the arm. Using the positive-locking adjustment feature, you can place the camera at the exact vertical or at an off-axis position for creative imaging. The slider is mountable on a single tripod, and also can be placed on leveled or uneven surfaces. The LoProfile design allows you to operate the DC-Slider from a tabletop.
In the Mini-Jib mode, the DC-Slider offers a horizontal working diameter of 63" (160 cm). You can lock the counterbalance mechanism to ensure steady movements through the full-range of the mini-jib arm. Easy adjustment of the parallel support bar ensures that the camera stays locked on to a subject through the range of the arm's vertical travel rather than staying in a fixed attitude.
The DC-Slider can be set up in the tower-mode by simply removing and repositioning 2 handles. As a tower, the slider allows for a vertical camera movement through the full range of the 63" (160 cm) track. The counterbalance system maintains a steady resistance to camera movements, thus reducing possibilities of irregular jerks during the start or finish of a camera move.
Equipped with a removable crank-handle, the DC-Slider allows you to control the camera system across the full span in all configurations and positions. Specially formulated, the composite wheels ensure smooth, silent operation of the camera and counterbalance system. Minimum and maximum heights of the DC-Slider in multi-angled positions, mini-jib mode, and tower-mode are dependent on the height and configuration of your tripod (not included).
