Design:
Samsung basically designed the Galaxy Note 5 keeping in mind the Galaxy S6 as both of them feature a glass and metal body.
Even though Note 5 has bigger body, the curved edges on the back makes it easier to hold and use it with one hand. The design is truly eye catching and will definitely give you a premium feeling while holding this in your hand.
5.7 inches QHD Super AMOLED Display:
The 5.7 inches Super AMOLED Quad HD display on the Galaxy Note 5 is stunning and its only a matter of time till it blows of your mind with the sharpness, brightness and contrast. Viewing angles are just great and the color saturation is pretty neat. It is also protected by the Corning's Gorilla Glass 4 so you have enough protection on it as well.
This display will not let you down even in bright sunlight, as it will still be able to give you details of the content on the display even if you put the brightness slider on the low side.
Cutting Edge Performance:
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also features powerful specs and is powered by Exynos 7420 chipset and it has a 2.1 GHz cortex A57 processor and also a 1.5 GHz quad core A53 processor to handle low powered tasks. It comes with mighty 4 GB of RAM to make sure everything works smoothly.
The phone comes with 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage with no option to expand it via SD card.
S PEN:
S-Pen is one of the main attractions of the Galaxy Note series.
It is an important tool and a very expressive one as well that lets you do things that you cannot do on other smartphones.
And even if you can manage somehow, you wont be able to do it with perfection and precision.
The Galaxy Note 5 features an all new design as well some improvements in the features enhancing its ability.
The new Air Command will give you full control of the S-Pen allowing you to 'do more' exactly what Samsung claims.
The new feature that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy Note 5 is that you can now start taking notes even when your screen is turned off making sure that you don't left out on anything.
Samsung claims.
Wireless Fast Charging:
After adding fast charging in to the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung have now added Wireless Fast Charging into the Galaxy Note 5. Now this is a great improvement from last year's Note 4. Of course with the addition of the wireless fast charging doesn't mean you will not get the fast charging with the cable. So, basically you get the both in Galaxy Note 5.
16 MP Primary and 5 MP Secondary Camera:
Samsung have added an improved 16 MP camera on the back with F1.9, Smart OIS, auto real time HDR and 4K video recording.
The F1.9 will let more light come in while taking images on the other hand the real time HDR will keep the photos true to life. Below are some sample shots in day light and low light conditions:
The secondary or the front facing camera has 5MP sensor F1.9 with VDIS, auto real time HDR. To ensure you get the maximum out of it, it has 120 degree wide selfie angle so that your selfies can be more exciting and fun.
There is a new feature called YouTube live streaming which lets you upload it on YouTube, though there is a 30 seconds interval during that.
Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop):
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 comes with Android Lollipop pre-installed which is the latest version up to date. With the Android M about to release, its pretty evident that the Note 5 will get the update very soon after the release of Android M.
Samsung Pay:
Samsung Pay is an easy way to turn on your Note 5 into a regular credit card or a debit card. Each transaction will require PIN or fingerprint scan which ensures maximum protection even when your smartphone is lost. Its one step ahead in the field of online payments from Samsung.
Battery Life:
The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a non removable 3000 mAh battery which should be enough to juice things up. And with fast charging, you can charge it up in no time and you are good to go.
