A big guitar, proportioned similar to a grand auditorium and having a lot of resonant space for great volume, sustain and deep dreadnought-like tone. Often considered the quintessential “cowboy” guitar. General dimensions: 20 inches long, 4 inches deep, over 11-inch upper body width, over 16-inch lower body width.
Super JumboThe original pre-War Super Jumbo guitars featured a 16-7/8" body with Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back & sides; my version features a slightly smaller 16-1/2" body to focus the tone and eliminate unwanted bass overtones, while maintaining the full depth of a Dreadnought for power and fullness of tone. The Super Jumbo is the largest and most powerful guitar I make, and the extra bass created by the wider and rounder lower bout makes it the perfect rhythm guitar for ensemble settings.
